Yes, we wrapped up the Presidential Election just two days ago…but in my book, the local elections are more important. In the local elections, every single vote does count and the election results can and will affect your life on a day to day basis.
There are two City Council spots up (Ray Brown and Mitch Holmes) and the Mayor (Pat McGrail) for the City of Keller. Keller ISD Board Member David Farmer and Board President Bob Apetz are also up for reelection.
Candidate Filing begins February 9th and you should be able to get your filing packets as early as January 5th from either City Hall or the KISD Admin Building. I encourage anyone willing to give it a shot, but be aware, it isn’t for the faint of heart. Oh, the campaign is the easy part, it’s the time and energy needed after you win that is the hard part.
If you need a campaign manager, I hear Pat Holding is looking at candidates. And if you do decide to sign up and run, be sure to email your campaign website information and we will make sure we post that information in exchange for a sitdown Podcast Interview.
